Amid mounting criticism spanning years, Amazon raised its minimum wage to $15 an hour last week. "We listened to our critics," company founder Jeff Bezos said in a prepared statement at the time, saying he also will lobby Congress to raise the federal minimum wage from the current $7.25 per hour. Bezos is the world's richest person with an estimated net worth of $112 billion, according to the newly released Forbes's 2018 Billionaires List.
