To recognize World Diabetes Day on November 14, Ascension Seton Hays will host free diabetes risk assessments for type 2 diabetes and a healthy lunch and dinner, open to the public, patients and employees.

Worlds Diabetes Day was created in response to growing concerns about the escalating health threat posed by diabetes. It is marked every year on November 14, the birthday of Sir Frederick Banting, who co-discovered insulin along with Charles Best in 1922.

Additionally, Ascension Seton Hays will glow blue for Diabetes Awareness Month, which takes place throughout the month of November.
