Cardiac rehab is a medically supervised program designed to improve your cardiovascular health if you have experienced heart attack, heart failure, stent/angioplasty, and/or heart and heart transplant surgery. Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, the cardiac rehab program at Ascension Seton Southwest recognized a demand for increased cardiac rehab services due to the fast growing Southwest Austin and Dripping Springs markets.
With these community needs in mind, Salim and his team developed a plan to expand the cardiac rehab program. The cardiac rehab suite was remodeled, and expanded in size to almost double the square footage. Additionally, the expansion included new cardio and strength training equipment and technology for an improved patient experience.
