Austin Named Best City in US For Startups

Austin has become a hub for innovation due to an open and collaborative business culture.

Step aside, Silicon Valley.

Austin has been ranked the best city in the United States to launch a startup company by Small Business Trends.

The online small business publication described Austin’s as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

“It would seem that any list of accolades these days must include Austin. It’s one of the fastest growing and most diverse cities in the state of Texas,” said Small Business Trends.

They keys to Austin’s success? An open and collaborative business culture, and a diverse group of leaders, Julie Huls, the Austin Technology Council’s president, told the publication.

Rounding out the rest of the list was New York, Nashville, Boulder, Seattle, Asheville, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina.

Silicon Valley didn’t even make the cut. In fact, Small Business Trends called the area “expensive and over saturated.”
