Austin PD Seeks Help Solving Homicide Cold Case (Video)
$1K cash reward being offered for information leading to arrest of man who shot Gerald Williams, who would've turned 26 this year.
AUSTIN, TX — On the three-year anniversary of a cold homicide case, Austin police renewed efforts to find a suspect connected to the deadly shooting case.
Sunday, June 16, marked the third year since Gerald Williams died of multiple gunshot wounds in the early morning hours along the 5800 block of Sweeney Circle. Williams, who would have turned 26 years old this year, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a hospital at around 3 a.m.
On Tuesday, the victim's father will join homicide detective at a press conference to recap the case and solicit help from the public in finding the killer. Detectives interviewed witnesses in the aftermath of the shooting, and continue to seek help from the public in identifying the shooter. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male in his mid 20s standing at about six feet tall of medium build. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and long denim shorts.

Police released grainy video footage of the suspect in the hopes someone might recognize him and alert them as to his whereabouts:
