Three others were transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge with non-life-threatening injuires, and a fourth victim refused treatment, police said during an early morning press briefing to update the media.

Police have yet to detain a suspect, who they described as either a light-skinned black male or Hispanic man. They urged any members of the public with information to contact them, particularly those at the scene who may have taken footage on their cell phones that might prove helpful.
A person-of-interest, 24-year-old Endicott McCray has been identified. According to police, McCray is described as a black male, 5’9” in height, 130 pounds, with long corn rows and a goatee.
At about the same time as the incident on Sixth Street, another report of a shooting nearby led police to mistakenly issue an "active shooter" alert. But it was later determined that second shooting in the 800 block of Trinity Street -- just three blocks from the Sixth Street shooting -- was unrelated.
Police said no injuries were reported in the second shooting incident that occurred at about 2:25 a.m. in a Trinity Street Parking garage. In that incident, bystanders detained the shooter until police arrived to effect an arrest.
