Austin Police Seek Help From Public In Finding Prolific Aggravated Robbery Suspect

Video, surveillance camera images released in hopes someone from the public might recognize suspect and alert police as to his whereabouts.

AUSTIN, TX — Police have renewed efforts to locate a suspect wanted in a series of aggravated robberies taking place throughout Austin in March, releasing a video along with surveillance photos of the man sought.

Police released the images in the hopes members of the public might recognize him and alert them as to his whereabouts.

In the video, the suspect is seen entering a store while wielding a handgun and demanding money. At each heist, the man wears a bandanna to hide his face, prompting police to urge viewers to study his wardrobe and distinctive watch to see if they recognize the suspect.

He's wanted in a series of aggravated robberies throughout the month of March, and appears to be targeting businesses that stay open late at night:

  • Wednesday, March 15, 2017, 11:44 p.m. – Domino’s Pizza, 719 William Cannon Dr.
  • Thursday, March 16, 2017, 12:55 a.m. – Domino’s Pizza, 720 Bastrop Highway
  • Monday, March 20, 2017, 3:44 a.m. – IHOP, 1101 S. Mopac Expressway
  • Monday, March 20, 2017, 4:42 a.m. – IHOP, 901 E. Koenig Ln.
  • Thursday, March 30, 2017, 2:47 a.m. – Chevron, 30 North IH-35 Service Road southbound.
  • The suspect(s) is described as a black male standing between five feet, 11 inches to six foot. During the heists, he wore two different styles of letterman jackets.

    In each case, the suspect was armed with a black, semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine, police noted.
