• US firm boosts counter-drone production with 191,000-square-foot facility (interestingengineering.com subscription) — A major new 191,000-square-foot Alien Control Systems plant is coming to Austin, bringing advanced counter-drone manufacturing and new engineering and production jobs to the city. The facility will expand output of the Bullfrog defense system for the U.S. military and allies, strengthening both local high-tech industry and national security-focused manufacturing in Texas.
   

• Texas Coach Steve Sarkisian Says Ohio State is a 'Really Good Football Program,' Hopes to Face Buckeyes Again in College Football Playoff (elevenwarriors.com) — Texas fans in Austin just watched the Longhorns storm back with 21 unanswered fourth-quarter points to beat Ohio State at home.
