Austin Ranks as the City with the Cheapest Mimosas

Let’s face it -- there are plenty of not so great things about Austin. From the scorching hot temperatures, the skyrocketing rental rates, and the horrible traffic, Austin checks off many boxes on the list of inconvenient characteristics. Despite this, lots of people still want to live here and love this city. The Austin food scene is without a doubt one of the best in the country. And one thing that almost everybody in Austin can rally around is brunch and mimosas.
According to a recent study, Austin ranks as the city with the least expensive brunch mimosas on average, costing about $4.75 a pop -- talk about a steal. To find their data, Sky Blue Credit averaged the cost of mimosas at three of the most reviewed brunch spots in Austin. Also on this list was San Antonio, where an average mimosa costs around $5. If you don’t want to limit yourself to just one mimosa, don’t forget about the bottomless options as well.
Mimosas aren’t the only thing that come with brunch, however. The study also averaged the cost of a coffee, a meal, and combinations of a meal and a drink. The average cost of a brunch meal in Austin is $10.76, while the average cost of a coffee is $2.85. To get a combination of a brunch meal with coffee will cost you $13.61 on average, but if you want a mimosa instead, it will cost you $15.51 on average.

While Austin doesn’t have the cheapest brunch, San Antonio does. In San Antonio, an average brunch meal only costs $7.81, which is nearly $3 less than an average brunch meal in Austin. They’re both pretty cheap though, so consider yourself lucky to be living in Texas if you’re a brunch lover. Houston also ranks in the top 10 least expensive brunch meals with an average meal cost of $9.24.
If you’re thinking about planning a mimosa or brunch outing, be sure to check out the best brunch places in Austin. Some places, like The Cavalier, have mimosas as low as $3, while Ciclo offers $1 mimosas. Don’t get too carried away with these deals, however -- drink deals like these will often leave you a little more intoxicated than you may like to be at 2pm. If you aren’t into the mimosa scene, you can still enjoy some delicious brunch meals at plenty of Austin restaurants.

Austin may be hot and congested, but it still is the best place to live (and no, that isn’t just an opinion). Austin is filled with plenty of good food, job openings, and beautiful views. The fact that Austin the cheapest mimosas is just another addition to the ever-growing list of positives about this city.
