Good morning, everybody! It's me, Gabriela Couvillion, your host of the Austin Daily — here to explain everything you need to know about what's happening locally.

First, today's weather:

Couple of thunderstorms. High: 82 Low: 64.

📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Austin who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.

I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Austin Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.

Here are the top stories today in Austin:

  1. On Monday, May 30, Barton Springs Pool, located at 2131 William Barton Drive, "will resume normal Monday operations" for Memorial Day. In addition, "the Aquatic Division of the Parks and Recreation Department at the City of Austin continues to hire and train lifeguards to operate summer pools." For pool hours and information visit AustinTexas.gov/Pools, and for lifeguard job applications, training information and bonus details visit LifeguardAustin.com. (AustinTexas.gov)
  2. If you're looking for a job in Austin, there are several local businesses that "are searching to fill openings on their staff." Whether you're "looking for full-time or part-time work," both are "available in your area." See a list "compiled by Patch and ZipRecruiter" at: (Austin Patch)
  3. "Onewheel is one of the most rapidly growing boardsports and e-mobility options and has seen an explosion in popularity in recent years." From May 28-29, the event will take place in Austin from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on both days at the Fair Market, located at 1100 E. 5th St. Chief Evangelist Jack Mudd said, "We're beyond stoked to be making a stop in Austin, Texas, and connect with the Austin community." He added, "Onewheel is, without doubt, the most fun way to get around your city. That's what this event is all about, throwing an awesome party for Austin, having a good time, and giving folks an opportunity to come to experience the magic of riding a Onewheel for the first time." 4. Camp Edventure More (Camp EDMO), founded is 2004, is "a national nonprofit organization committed to creating equitable access to inclusive out-of-school opportunities for kids from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade." The program, which opens on June 6, offers educational opportunities, summer camps, after-school programs and tutoring and coaching for Austin's youth. Allison Mack of Camp EDMO said, "In addition to education, all programs are designed to help every kid cultivate a sense of self, own their impact, and show up in the world with curiosity, courage, and kindness." For more on the program visit EDMO.org/KXAN. (KXAN.com)
  5. Picked Cherries, "the first social podcasting app," offers you an opportunity to "clip 60 second bites to share" with friends. The app was co-founded by Jeff Hoffman, along with comedian and podcasters Steve and Renae Treviño.
