
11th Indie Meme Film Festival April 22-26 | AFS Cinema | Austin, TX The Indie Meme Film Festival returns to Austin this spring for its 11th year, bringing together five days of independent films, filmmaker conversations, and community events that spotlight bold storytelling from South Asia, Iran, and the diaspora. As Texas’s leading showcase for South Asian independent cinema, IMFF 2026 features a thoughtfully curated mix of narrative features, documentaries, and short films from across the globe. Many of the films in this year’s lineup have appeared at major international festivals like Cannes, Venice, and Toronto, offering audiences a chance to see acclaimed work in an intimate, local setting. In addition to screenings, the festival hosts Q&As, mixers, and special events that create opportunities to connect with filmmakers and fellow audiences in a relaxed, welcoming environment. All films are presented with English subtitles.
