Join Great Springs Project and Hill Country Conservancy on a 2-mile walk along the Violet Crown Trail in Austin, Texas. We will meet at the new Mile Zero trailhead (just west of Zilker Hillside Theater, 2206 William Barton Dr) at 8am, and from there walk 1 mile to the Spyglass Trailhead, and then turn back around. Please come prepared with water in a reusable water bottle and athletic clothes. Families and kids welcome!

The Alternative Improvisation Music Ensemble, is a select jazz ensemble of six to ten members performing unique repertoire that encompasses a wide variety of styles. Emphasizing extended improvisation, members of the ensemble compose the music specifically for the group’s instrumentation. Recent projects include a regular appearances at the Elephant Room jazz club.
The concert will feature original jazz compositions created as part of the curriculum at The University of Texas' Butler School of Music under the direction of John M. Fremgen.
