From Nov. 7:
AUSTIN, TX -- It's not just the presidential race Travis County voters will help decide on Nov. 8.
Along with voting for either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump as leader of the free world, Travis County voters will cast ballots for Austin City Council and school board seats. What's more, there are various state positions up for election Tuesday as well, from U.S Congress seats to constable positions.
It's worth noting that Clinton and Trump aren't the only ones vying for the nation's presidency. Gary Jonson and his running mate William Weld are running on the Libertarian ticket while Jill Stein and her running mate Ajamu Baraka will run for the Green Party.
Austin voters also will vote on a $720 million in General Obligation bonds to fund transportation and mobility improvements. More information on this issue is available by clicking here.

Also at the local level, incumbents on the Austin City Council face challengers vying to fill their two-year terms on the dais. Up for grabs are the seats currently occupied by Delia Garza (District 2), Greg Casar (D4), Don Zimmerman (D6), Leslie Pool (D7), and Sheri Gallo (D10).
