Club Pilates Studio Opens In Austin
To celebrate opening at 166 Hargraves St. in the Belterra neighborhood, free intro classes and 20 percent off membership offered.

AUSTIN, TX — Club Pilates, the nation’s largest premium Pilates franchise, will open its doors in Austin with a planned grand opening weekend celebration on Saturday.
Located at 166 Hargraves St. in the new Belterra Village Shopping Center in the Belterra neighborhood, the new studio offers members full-body workouts that improves posture, balance, flexibility and strength, officials said. The grand opening is scheduled from June 23 to June 24.
To celebrate the opening, Club Pilaties is offering free 30-minute intro classes and the first three months of membership is 20 percent off for a limited time, according to officials.

Amid a supportive atmosphere, members can choose from four class levels and eight signature group class format utilizing a variety of equipment, including Reformers, EXO chairs, TRX, Trigger Point, springboard and Barre, officials said.
Locally owned and operated by Austin residents Theresa and Glenn Fraser, the studio was born of personal need, officials described. Theresa, a registered nurse, was introduced to Pilates after injuring her rotator cuff, finding Pilates a key factor in her eventual full recovery, she said.

"We are excited to bring Club Pilates to the Belterra neighborhood because it will really help people," she said. "As an RN working in orthopedics and internal medicine, I have seen devastating, painful injuries due to osteoarthritis. I have seen patients rehabilitate after injuries and maintain strength, flexibility and balance as they age with Pilates."
In a personal testimony, she spoke of regaining full range of motion and strength after a partially torn rotator cuff shoulder injury by practicing Pilates. She said she also increased her bone density through Pilates: "On my last bone density [check], I was told I have the bones of a 20-year-old," she conveyed excitedly.
The studio's owners said Club Pilates is the first such organization creating a proprietary, 500-hour Teacher Training Program designed to thoroughly and safely teach group Reformer Pilates classes along with TRX, Triggerpoint and Barre.
