Funds Sought For Austin 'March For Our Lives' Demonstration
Students from all over the country will participate in rallies calling for reform of gun laws to prevent future mass school shootings.

AUSTIN, TX — A crowdsourcing drive is underway to stage an Austin version of the upcoming "March for Our Lives" demonstration calling attention to the need for action to stop mass school shootings.
Young people will take to the streets on March 24 in Washington, D.C. and across the country to march for common-sense gun control measures aimed at curbing violence, particularly at schools. The movement was spawned after the mass shooting at the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida that claimed 17 lives.
The upcoming marches are an offshoot of student walkouts that took place throughout the country in the days after the Florida shooting meant as protest.
