AUSTIN, TX — What to get dad on Father's Day? The day in which we honor our paternal units is right around the corner, on Sunday, June 16. In the days before the big day, children across the Lone Star State are wracking their brains wondering what to get good old pops.
Enter Academy Sports + Outdoors for some paternal insight. The retailer surveyed more than 1,500 dads as part of its “Dad’s Picks Survey” to find out what Dad really wants this Father’s Day, breaking down their findings per state.
We'll get to that in a moment. But here's a Father's Day fun fact first. Consumers are expected to spend a record $16 billion this year for Father’s Day, with $822 million to be spent on sporting goods, according to the National Retail Federation.
