Here's Your List Of I-35 Lane Closures For Nov. 10-16, 2018

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Motorists often mutter under their breath when stuck in traffic along Interstate 35 traffic lanes that are being improved, re-striped or expanded. In their fury as they head at a snail's pace to their destinations, drivers forget that these road enhancements will pay dividends in the future in the way of their commute in ensuring more seamless, safe and uninterrupted travel.

Granted, it's often tough to achieve this forward-thinking perspective when stuck in traffic — regardless of the eventual infrastructure payoff. The target of their ire: The Texas Department of Transportation. As if sensing this collective frustration, TxDot weekly offers a list of I-35 lanes scheduled for work, yielding a heads-up primer — a navigational guide, if you will — for drivers in alerting to road work. Drivers can use this guide to plot their trips accordingly, perhaps plotting out alternate routes to circumvent those work sites.

Which is all to say that the latest list of I-35 road work for Nov 10-16 has been released. Take a look at where lanes to be worked on will be in the coming days. Serenity now!

I-35 AT FM 3406

• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane at FM 3406
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12 through Tuesday, Nov. 13
• Southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane at FM 3406
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 through Thursday, Nov. 15
• Various FM 3406 closures in both directions between I-35 and Chisholm Trail Drive
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 through Thursday, Nov. 15

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH

• Northbound I-35 frontage road one lane closed between Gattis School Road and RM 620
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 through Monday, Nov. 12
• Southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane between US 79 and RM 620
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 through Monday, Nov. 12

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Powell Lane closed at southbound I-35. Use Wonsley Drive
  • Through winter 2018
• Clock Tower Drive closed at northbound US 183
  • Through winter 2018
• Carver Avenue closed at southbound US 183
  • Through winter 2018
• I-35 rolling closures in both directions between Blackson Avenue and US 183. Exit #240 will also be closed.
  • Intermittently from 6:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Delmar Avenue and St Johns
  • From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10
• No access to and from Hermitage Drive. Use other side streets.
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 through Friday, November 16

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Eastbound Oltorf Streeet right lane closed at I-35. The right turn lane will also be closed.
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 through Monday, Nov. 12
• Alternating Oltorf Street closures in both directions at I-35
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 through Thursday, Nov. 15
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between SH 71 and Woodward Street
  • From 9 p.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12 through Friday, Nov. 16
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed at Oltorf Street. Exit #232 will also be closed.
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 through Friday, Nov. 16

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• William Cannon Drive closed at I-35
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 through Friday, Nov. 16
• Northbound I-35 frontage road closed between Boggy Creek Drive to William Cannon Drive
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 through Friday, Nov. 16
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Chaparral Road and Corral Lane
  • From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 through Thursday, Nov. 15

I-35 MAINTENANCE PROJECTS

• Northbound I-35 right lane closed between Wonder World Drive and Hackberry Street
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 through Thursday, Nov. 15
