AUSTIN, TEXAS — Like a culinary oasis amid the chaos that is SXSW, renowned Julie Myrtille Bakery will be among the merchants at "Praise & Worship on the Avenue," a family-friendly event during the festival's run.

Congress Ave. takes place on March 16 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This year, Julie Myrtille Bakery will be in the mix, serving up authentic French baked goods and beverage around the lawn. The menu include signature vegetarian quiches and quiche Lorraine, croque-monsieur, madeleines, cannelés, tartelettes and gluten free option. There will be also her famous Parisian hot chocolate and coffee.

Julie Myrtille will be serving through the event's run, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will accept cash, credit, debit, Apple Pay payments. For the cognoscenti, Julie Myrtille baked goods gained local renown via the pastry maker's presence at local farmer's markets — a growing popularity that made these pastries de rigeur among their aficionados and led to plans on opening a storefront operation in the Springdale General complex at 1023 Springdale Road in East Austin.
