Mock Surgery Event at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin

See what happens in an operating room with hands-on demonstrations of surgical equipment and simulated surgeries. Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin is hosting an interactive event including a behind-the-scenes look at its new operating rooms and an opportunity to interact with surgical robots on Saturday, November 2, from 9a-1p. Physicians will also be onsite to answer questions, along with robotic surgery exhibits. Blood pressure, BMI and glucose screenings will also be offered for adults. The event is free and open to all ages with activities including laparoscopic cameras, games, graspers for candy as well as a bone and cautery lab.

Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin recently renovated and expanded its operating rooms to include 26 rooms, 12 of which have 4K high-definition imaging for all types of surgery, including robotics. In addition, the operating room renovations include four new cardiac rooms.
