National Security Career Event Scheduled At UT-Austin

Sept. 10 gathering designed for those interested in national security policy, intelligence, diplomacy, military or federal law enforcement.

AUSTIN, TX — Looking to serve your country? You're in luck as a job fair is scheduled next month for those interested in a job in the fields of national security policy, intelligence, diplomacy, military or federal law enforcement.

The event is scheduled on Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Etter-Harbin Alumni Center, The University of Texas at Austin. Recruiting officials from U.S. national security departments and agencies will be available to students throughout the day to discuss internship, part-time, and full-time employment opportunities.

Confirmed participants include: CIA, FBI, State Department, Army Futures Command, National Counterterrorism Center, Defense Intelligence Agency, National Geospatial Intelligence Agency among others.

No registration is required, but updated résumés and professional dress is encouraged. Visit the student resources page for participant information.

The event is staged in conjunction with Counterterrorism Since 9/11, an expert panel featuring former CIA Director John Brennan, former Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command; Adm. (ret) William McRaven; former NSC and State Department official Farah Pandith; and former National Counterterrorism Center Director Nicholas Rasmussen.

The panel discussion begins at 12:15 pm at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center. Seating for this event is limited. Registration is required for the panel and does not guarantee admission.
