Newborn Found Dead In South Austin
The 2-month-old infant was found dead along the 5000 block of South Congress Avenue early Monday morning, police said.
AUSTIN, TX — A 2-month-old infant was found dead Monday morning in South Austin, police said.
Police received a call alerting to the dead child along the 5000 block of South Congress Avenue just before 4:20 a.m., officials wrote on Twitter. "We will provide more information as soon as we are able to," police wrote. Later, police wrote the death does not appear to be suspicious while adding they would not be providing a press briefing after all.
The address given for the location is the Austin Express Auto Parts business.
