Organ donors honored in Tree of Life Ceremony
Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas hosts families and loved ones

Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas (DSMCUT) hosted a Tree of Life Ceremony to honor 21 organ donors and their families.
Ascension Seton and Texas Organ Sharing Alliance (TOSA) partnered to create the Tree of Life wall memorial to commemorate those who donated organs and saved lives. During the Tree of Life Ceremony, leaves with organ donor’s names were added to the tree.
Ascension Seton has a longstanding Heart Specialty Care and Transplant Center. In partnership with TOSA, DSMCUT procures the largest number of organs in Central Texas.

According to Donate Life Texas, there is a drastic shortage of organ donors in the United States and Texas, and the demand far exceeds the supply. Currently, more than 10,000 Texans await life-saving organ transplants.
