Pflugerville City Council Approves $150K Bus Expenditure For Senior Citizens
In pasts surveys, a new bus for Pflugerville Recreation Center seniors to go on their trips has emerged as the greatest need.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX -- City council members allocated $150,000 in funds Tuesday night to purchase a new bus for use by senior members of the Pflugerville Recreation Center.
In past surveys, a new bus to transport seniors on their bus trips has emerged as the biggest need. The request was fulfilled at the regular council meeting on June 14 as council approved the expenditure.
The new bus is a marked improvement from the one that's being used currently, according to information provided by Terri Toledo via an email to Patch. First off, the new bus is bigger and roomier -- with a capacity for 40 people compared to the 24-seat bus currently in use. The new bus also will have a wheelchair lift for two, compared to the single lift in the current bus.
