Pflugerville Interim Police Chief Unveils Major Police Department Shakeup
Jessica Robledo assigns each member of police command staff to different oversight area to take them out of comfort zone.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Interim Police Chief Jessica Robledo on Tuesday unveiled a substantive police department overhaul, shifting each member of the command staff to oversee a different division, according to a published report.
As the Pflugerville Pflag newspaper reported, Robledo examined each officers' strengths and weaknesses and moved them to different oversight duties in order to push officers out of their comfort zones. She assured the rank and file the changes weren't made as a result of lack of leadership.
The changes, the Pflag noted comes after the honorable discharge of Laura Wilkes, a police lieutenant once under internal investigation beginning in mid-October. According to a memorandum obtained by the newspaper, Wilkes was discharged as a result of the reorganization rather than as a punitive measure. However, Robledo noted the decision to discharge Wilkes was final—and not subject to appeal.
