Popular East Austin Eatery Expands Banchan/Barbecue, Ends Brunch
Award-winning Pitchfork Pretty restaurant known for garden-fresh produce and contemporary Hill Country cuisine is making some changes.

AUSTIN, TX — As it relates to Pitchfork Pretty — the award-winning East Austin restaurant known for garden-fresh produce and contemporary Hill Country cuisine — there's good news and bad news. The bad news is that the eatery will soon be ending its Sunday brunch service. But the good news is that it's expanded its banchan and barbecue dinner offerings.
"A unique and interactive dinner service, Banchan and Barbecue gives restaurant goers a chance to experience cuisine outside of the restaurant’s daily dinner menu," officials said in an email. The Korean-ish style prefix menu is $34 per person, and includes purple rice, a mixture of seasonal greens and herbs from the garden, and consomme, banchan, and choice of one protein.
As part of the expansion, the restaurant will discontinue Sunday brunch on August 4th. The final brunch service will take place from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and serve favorites including baked goods, breakfast sandwiches and plates, and its full beverage menu.
