1) Community help needed to identify male remains found in Austin. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) is asking for the public's help to identify remains found in a wooded area off of Alum Rock Drive in Austin on Dec. 20, 2021. The victim is believed to be between the age of 16 and 20 years old at the time of his death. KXAN has more on this story here.

3) Austin's MetroRail service to be suspended for maintenance starting this week. Capital Metro will temporarily halt all MetroRail service starting July 15 through July 23 to perform necessary maintenance. Buses will take place of the 32-mile MetroRail during the downtime. Find more details on the suspension and alternative routes here at KVUE Austin.

4) Depleting water levels affecting emergency services on Central Texas lakes. As water levels shrink and water emergency dispatch calls continue to rise, Travis County Emergency Services expresses safety concerns. Finding long-term space now in deep water for the dock and boat is proving difficult for both Travis County Emergency Services and boat owners. FOX 7 Austin has more on this story here.
