Starcraft II WCS ended with an epic showdown versus "Neeb" and "Nerchio." Neeb took home the $25,000 jackpot, with Nerchio winning $10,000 in second place. Nerchio won the first match in Cactus Valley, lost the second game in Newkirk Precinct TE, and took the lead in the third round in Abyssal Reef before losing the final three rounds to Neeb.
The two players have a long history, squaring off in last year's event. Neeb and Nerchio went head-to-head in the WCS Spring Circuit in 2016, with Nerchio beating his rival only to lose in the finals against "ShoWTimE."

DreamHack's CSGO Astro Open 2017 tournament featured a final face-off of Britain's Gambit team and the Immortals. The Grand Final featured a dominant performance from Gambit, beating the North America team 2 – 0.
Gambit's team effort was too much for the Immortals, as the team dominated the play on the Train and Inferno maps. Dosia and Mou, members of Gambit, both scored 46 kills during the dominant performance.
The event lacked many of the top eSport teams, which opted to skip the event for the Intel Extreme Masters next week in Sydney. Teams complained about the event, arguing that Astro, the sponsor of the event, required teams to use Astro headphones which failed to dampen the crowd's cheers during the series.
Gambit took home $50,000 for their first place win. The Immortals took home $20,000.
It's reported that 15,000 people participated in the event. ESport popularity is on the rise, with 324 million people in 2016 watching, talking or participating in eSports.
