Texas Has The Nation's Fewest UFO Sightings: Report
Findings come amid renewed interest after the Pentagon released footage of UFOs in April and ahead of UFO Awareness Day on July 2.
AUSTIN, TX — The truth may be out there, but UFO enthusiasts in Texas aren't likely to learn it anytime soon. According to a new report, the Lone Star State ranked last in the nation for the most reported unidentified flying objects per capita.
Extraterrestrial interest has been on the rise since news broke about the Pentagon releasing footage of UFOs in April, and sky watchers are poised to mark UFO Awareness Day scheduled on July 2 (yes, that's an actual thing that exists).
But according to a new report by the analysts at SatelliteInternet.com, Texas is dead last in terms of the most reported sightings. "Are aliens just afraid of the Lone Star state?" researchers asked.

The analysis used data from the National UFO Reporting Center and the U.S. Bureau of the Census to determine which states have the most reported UFO sightings per capita from 2019 to June 2020. The upshot: Idaho, Montana and New Hampshire clinced the top three spots, while Maine and New Mexico rounded up the top five list.
Other cellar dwellers in addition the dearth of UFO sightings are Lousiana, Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama. Given the findings, what could have been electrifying noctural celestial observation events across Texas could very well be replaced with low-key, al fresco gatheings around a cheeseball.
