Travis County Opens Additional Water Distribution Site
Water made available as residents deal with mandated boil-water notice after flood waters compromised the city's drinking supply.

TRAVIS COUNTY, TEXAS — Travis County opened an additional water distribution site at Circuit of the Americas as the city deals with an ongoing boil-water notice.
Bottled water will be available at the for our under-served communities, people with special needs, and those who are unable to boil water. The distribution site is located in Parking Lot A and is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until further notice, county officials said.
Circuit of the Americas is located at 9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd, Austin, Texas 78617.

“Our priority at Travis County is the safety of our residents," said Hector Nieto, spokesman for the Travis County Commissioners Court. "We want to make sure we are doing everything we can to help the community as we all navigate this emergency. Travis County would like to thank Circuit of the Americas for their assistance and making their facility available.”

The city's water supply quality was compromised with high volumes of debris, mud and silt after last week's historic floods, prompting officials to implement a boil-water notice on Monday. Since then, city and county officials have made bottled water available to residents who don't have potable water at home or are unable to boil their water before consumption.
