Hooters El Paso To Host Friendraiser for Local Girls Soccer Team, West Texas Rush Mesa

Visit Hooters El Paso on Wednesday, September 16 to help raise funds for the West Texas Rush Mesa 2012-2013G from 5 pm to 9pm. The Friendraiser will support the team with expenses associated with traveling to out-of-town tournaments and to purchase equipment and other necessities for the athletes.

The girls on the team range in age from 12 to 14 years old. The team hopes to attend tournaments in San Diego, Phoenix and Tucson over the next several months.

The Friendraiser is extra special for one of the moms on the team, Hooters Girl Alum Myrna Fernandez who worked at El Paso Hooters for 18 years. “Our goal is to give the team more opportunities to compete, gain experience, and continue developing their skills. We truly appreciate the support from Hooters and the El Paso community. Every contribution helps us provide our athletes with opportunities and experiences that will help them continue to grow both individually and as a team,” said Myrna Fernandez, mother of West Texas Rush Mesa player.

“The team at Hooters El Paso is looking forward to partnering with the West Texas Rush Mesa for this Friendraiser as they gear up for a successful season. It will be a fun night supporting youth soccer and providing opportunities,” said Andrea Hill. Hooterscreated the Friendraiser program for local non-profits and charitable organizations to raise additional funds for the community.
