• El Paso police needs help locating GPS thief (kfoxtv.com) — El Paso police and Crime Stoppers are asking for your help identifying a man accused of jumping a counter at the Bass Pro Shop on North Desert Boulevard and stealing two high-end Garmin GPS units. The suspect fled in a dark heavy-duty dually pickup. Anyone with information can anonymously contact Crime Stoppers of El Paso and may qualify for a cash reward.

• Rio Grande reaches third-highest level on record in El Paso; levees limit flooding (kfoxtv.com) — The Rio Grande just hit its third-highest level on record in El Paso, sending water into nearby parks, walking paths and a McNutt–Paisano on-ramp but sparing neighborhoods thanks to levees. Crews from El Paso Water and the city's emergency management office are pumping out floodwater in Sunland Park, while residents are urged to stay off levees and away from River Levee Park for now.
