• Somerville man charged in shooting death of Snook man at trail ride event in Fayette County (kbtx.com) — An Elgin resident was previously arrested in a separate 2024 shooting at the same Cozy Corner trail-ride venue where authorities have now charged a Somerville man in a deadly April 26 incident. Fayette County officials say repeated violence at large private trail rides is raising safety concerns, but they have limited power to shut the events down.
