• Farmersville High School farm helps serve healthier lunches – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth (nbcdfw.com) — Farmersville High School is growing its own fruits and vegetables right next to campus, with a full-time school farmer teaching students hands-on agriculture. Funded by a Texas Health grant, the new program aims to eventually supply most cafeteria produce, replacing many frozen and canned items with fresh, student-grown ingredients that are already showing up in popular lunches.
