• Flower Mound approves ordinance to reduce excess parking spaces - Cross Timbers Gazette Southern Denton County Flower Mound (crosstimbersgazette.com) — Flower Mound has approved a new shared-parking ordinance that could significantly shrink oversized lots, ease requirements on small businesses, and free up space for more landscaping and green areas. By letting neighboring businesses with different peak hours share spaces, town officials hope to cut pavement, reduce heat and runoff, and make it simpler to fill existing retail centers.
   

• Denton County reports two cases of parasitic infections amid outbreak - Cross Timbers Gazette Southern Denton County Flower Mound (crosstimbersgazette.com) — Denton County health officials have confirmed two local cases of cyclosporiasis, an intestinal illness caused by the Cyclospora parasite that’s currently under CDC investigation. While the source isn’t yet known, Flower Mound residents are urged to be cautious with fresh produce, wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly, and follow CDC hygiene guidance to reduce infection risk this summer.
