City to Host Fort Worth 2050 Comprehensive Plan Open House

The event will take place at City Hall on Monday, May 4.

Next month, the City of Fort Worth will host an open house to explore ideas and strategies for the 2050 Comprehensive Plan, which will guide growth and development in the coming decades.

The city announced the open house in a Tuesday press release. The event will feature an interactive "gallery walk" with opportunities to provide input and connect directly with 2050 Comprehensive Plan consultants and city staff.

Residents and business leaders can share their ideas and vision to help shape the future of the Fort Worth community.

The open house will also explore the latest ideas and strategies to guide future growth, insight on the city's population, and economic trends and scenarios to weigh advantages and disadvantages of different growth patterns.

There will be visuals to explore innovative ways to plan for neighborhoods and other special places, as well as a "Which Reimagined City Are You?" personality quiz.

Residents can stop by any time during the event and should plan to spend about 30-40 minutes going through the different stations.

"The 2050 Comprehensive Plan is intended to establish a shared vision for the city," the press release states. "It will determine the goals, objectives, strategies, and policies to ensure a high quality of life for all community members. And it will be the result of the creative efforts of the community to lay a successful foundation for the future of Fort Worth."
