Fort Worth Police Seeking Suspect in Stop 6 Day Celebration Shooting

Officers responded to Smokey's Food Mart on June 6.

The Fort Worth Police Department needs the community's help regarding a June 6 shooting that occurred on E. Rosedale St. after the Stop 6 Day celebration.

The department issued the call for help in a Wednesday afternoon social media post.

According to the post, the shooting occurred in the area of 5310 E. Rosedale St. after the Stop 6 Day celebration at nearby Rosedale Park. The event featured live performances, a DJ, as well as free food and water for the community.

Officers responded to a large crowd that had gathered outside Smokey's Food Mart following the event.

At approximately 9 p.m., a male wearing dark clothing filed multiple rounds in the area between the food mart and the Apex Apartments, injuring several people. The injured included a pregnant woman, a small child, and a Fort Worth police officer.

Investigators are seeking any information, photographs, videos, or witness statements related to this shooting that may help them identify the suspect.
