• Fort Worth's EMS cuts down response times, but employee turnover remains a challenge (fortworthreport.org) — Fort Worth's in-house EMS is reaching emergencies about two minutes faster and nonemergency calls about five minutes faster than before, even as the department struggles with vacancies and long shifts. City officials are hiring new EMTs, adjusting 24-hour schedules and partnering with Tarrant County College to train more paramedics, changes that directly affect response times and workloads across Fort Worth neighborhoods.

• Here are the advocates, industry representatives who will fill Fort Worth's data center advisory group (fortworthreport.org) — Fort Worth has named the community advocates, academics and industry representatives who will advise City Council on how to regulate data centers, with their report due Nov. 3. The commission will study impacts on electricity, water, noise and neighborhood siting, aiming to keep large facilities away from historically underserved areas while balancing economic development and environmental concerns.
