Fort Worth Movies That Matter is a free, quarterly film series established in 2010 to create awareness in the community about human rights issues affecting people in Fort Worth and across the world.
Each event features a film screening, followed by a moderated discussion intended to offer space for reflection and dialogue. Screenings are held in March, June, September, and December.
The program's future was put in doubt temporarily as City Council voted to end the city's diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives last year.
