1. Meet HYPER: Frisco PD's New AI Tool For Faster Non-Emergency Service (dallasexpress.com) — Frisco residents calling the police non-emergency line at (972) 292-6010 will now first reach HYPER, a 24/7 AI assistant that routes routine calls and supports multiple languages. Emergencies still go straight to human 9-1-1 communicators, and callers can request a person anytime. The change is meant to cut wait times and free staff for urgent situations.

2. Denton man sentenced to 40 years for child sex crimes after keeping Frisco teen captive (keranews.org) — A 25-year-old Denton man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison plus probation for multiple child sex crimes involving a 15-year-old girl from Frisco, whom he trafficked and held in his Denton apartment. Frisco, Denton and UNT police worked together to locate the missing teen, after she reached out for help, and investigators say he had also faced trafficking charges in Utah.

3. Terrifying Video Shows a Bobcat Snatch Family Dog Right Off Texas Back Porch (whiskeyriff.com) — A Frisco family’s Yorkshire terrier survived after a bobcat leapt their backyard fence on Easter Sunday and carried the dog off, all caught on home security video. The pet needed stitches but is recovering, and wildlife officials warn that as North Texas grows, similar encounters around suburban homes and pets may become more common.

4. ACM Awards 2003: Alan Jackson Cracks Up As The Chicks Are Booed While Toby Keith Wins Entertainer Of The Year (whiskeyriff.com) — Frisco gets a quick shoutout as the recent host city of the ACM Awards, which are now shifting back to Las Vegas this year.
