• USG to spend $1.2 billion on Texas construction materials factory (plantservices.com) — USG Corporation’s major new $1.2 billion factory is going up in Orange, but it will operate alongside the company’s existing Texas plants in Sweetwater, Dallas, and Galena Park. State leaders say the project, backed by the JETI incentive program, will add 200 jobs and expand gypsum and drywall production, reinforcing the long-term role of USG’s Galena Park operations in its Texas network.
