We have installed a new 12-inch water main line on Yale Street and once it is sampled and on line, we will start connecting customers to that main and remove the old main completely from the system. Over the weekend we experienced at least 3 different main breaks either on or connected to the old 10-inch line on Yale that unfortunately put many of you out of water. We apologize for the inconvenience and in going forward we will be having to tie the system to the new main which may cause you a temporary disruption in water service but we will attempt to keep you updated by personal contact or email or by code red alerts as when to expect a disruption in service. We are attempting to do it in sections so as to avoid a mass outage. Our goal has always been to replace and remove the old existing mains from the system and in doing so there may be outages along the way but we will attempt to keep them at a minimum and the end result should be better water quality and water volume for all of us to enjoy.
