• New GTU Hangars to Accommodate Single-Engine Aircraft to Light Jets (bizjournals.com) — New private condo hangars are under construction at Georgetown Executive Airport, aiming to ease the shortage of aircraft storage as Georgetown and Williamson County grow. Twelve larger box-style hangars for single- and twin-engine planes and light jets are underway, with customizable units expected to be ready in early 2027 and reservations already being accepted. 
• Austin weather LIVE BLOG: Flooding possible as storms hit Central Texas (newsbreak.com) — With heavy rain and possible flooding in Central Texas, Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is urgently seeking fosters for medium and large dogs at its two Georgetown locations, offering free adoptions for dogs over 30 pounds through October 4. Georgetown residents can walk into either shelter daily from noon to 6 p.m. to help ease crowding and keep operations flexible during the storms.
