• Police share new information on vehicle that crashed into Harker Heights home (kcentv.com) — A pickup truck towing a construction trailer crashed into a home's garage on Indian Trail in Harker Heights after the driver may have suffered a medical emergency, according to police. The driver was treated for minor injuries, and no one inside the house was hurt. Harker Heights police are still investigating and are asking anyone with information to contact their traffic division.

• City of Killeen readies for annual Veterans Day Parade (fox44news.com) — An annual Central Texas Veterans Day Parade is returning to downtown Killeen on November 11, and organizers from Killeen, Harker Heights, and Nolanville are inviting groups to sign up now at no cost. Harker Heights veterans' organizations help sponsor the event, which will feature a formal recognition from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Local residents can register entries through November 9.

• Cove Police hopes rain stays away for NNO festivities (kdhnews.com) — National Night Out festivities are set for this weekend, with Copperas Cove police planning a baseball-themed kickoff in memory of a fallen officer and additional neighborhood parties Tuesday in Cove, Killeen, and Harker Heights. Organizers are watching the forecast but hope rain won't derail the plans. Harker Heights residents can look forward to their own National Night Out gathering on Tuesday.
