• Mother of teen detained in viral Alamo ICE arrest video deported (krgv.com) — ICE's Harlingen office deported Teresa Ochoa Briseño, mother of the 17-year-old seen detained in a widely shared Alamo video, saying she reentered the U.S. illegally after a prior removal. Her attorney questions the timing, arguing it may chill residents from speaking out about immigration enforcement and alleged mistreatment during recent raids in the Valley.
   

• $163.6M Infrastructure Boost Targets Water Conservation Across RGV (riograndeguardian.com) — Harlingen's irrigation district is set to receive more than $9 million for pump station relocation and canal-to-pipeline conversions as part of a $163.6 million Rio Grande Valley water conservation push. State and binational partners say the upgrades will sharply reduce leaks, saving billions of gallons annually for farms and communities across Cameron and Hidalgo counties.
