Baytown Woman Involved in Fatal Accident in New Jersey

Charges have not been filed against a woman who was driving a tractor-trailer that hit another vehicle and killed a man

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ -- A Baytown woman was involved in an accident that claimed the life of a Georgia man ate Tuesday.

According to a press release from the South Brunswick Township Police Department, Nohemi Farfan, 45, was driving a 2005 Volvo tractor trailer, north on Route 1 at the Raymond Road Intersection, when a 2016 Ford Transit Connect, driven by John Jermill Williams, 29 of Hampton, Ga., tried to cross Route 1 and was hit.

The force of the crash caused the front passenger seat in Williams' vehicle to become dislodged, and was thrown clear from the vehicle.

A 17-year old passenger, who police have not identified, was in the seat and was critically injured, and was taken by EMS to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Williams was taken to University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, and died a short time later.

Farfan was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where she was treated and released.

Charges were not filed against Farfan.

The accident remains under investigation
