Cell Phone Store Robbery Caught On Video

The suspect made off with money and a new iPhone.

HOUSTON, TX -- The Houston Police Department is searching for a man seen robbing a Boost Mobile in West Houston. The robbery was captured on surveillance video May 9 at 7689 Clarewood, HPD wrote on YouTube.

The suspect can be seen entering the store at 12:30 p.m. He walked walked up to an employee sitting behind the counter and displayed a handgun at his waist before demanding money from the cash register, HPD wrote. The employee, in fear of her safety, complied with the suspect’s demands.

"The suspect took the money and then demanded the iPhones, which were in the back safe," HPD wrote. "The suspect then followed the employee to the back office and removed a new iPhone from the safe and then fled the scene."

The suspect is described as 18 to 19-years-old, 5’06 tall, weighing 130 pounds and wearing a white shirt, gray shorts, black shoe, and gray backpack.
