Child is Shot and Killed By Robbers Stealing Mother’s Purse

HOUSTON, TX -- Police are looking for three men who shot and killed a 4-year old girl, and wounded her mother and older sister in an armed robbery late Monday.

Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the mother was unloading groceries at her apartment in 10000 block of Greens Crossing Blvd. just after 9 p.m., when three men got out of a dark colored car and tried to take her purse.

The woman held on to her purse, and one of the men pulled out a gun and started shooting.

The woman, her 10-year old daughter, and 4-year old daughter were shot multiple times by the attackers, who took the purse and drove away.

All three were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital where the 4-year old child died.

The condition of the mother and her 10-year old daughter are unknown.

Investigators are speaking with witnesses and looking at surveillance footage to find clues to this crime.
