Former Teacher Sentenced 15 Years For Sexually Abusing Girl
He abused the eight-year-old girl during the 2010-2011 school year, according to reports, and has been sentenced 15 years.
HOUSTON, TX -- A former teacher was sentenced this week to 15 years in prison for sexually abusing an eight-year-old girl over six years ago. The trial ended with a conviction of indecency with a child.
Miguel Angel Yepez, 41, was arrested for the abuse during the 2010-2011 school year while he was a second-grade teacher at Harvard Elementary School, ABC13 reported.
The victim's mother had asked Yepez to watch over her daughter, the victim, during a divorce.

ABC13 reported Assistant District Attorney Ashley Guice as saying "The jury spoke loud and clear. This is a horribly sad example of betrayal by someone entrusted with protecting our children."
Another woman's testimony claimed that Yepez had abuse her as well back in 2002.
