Funeral Services For Houston Fire Department Captain Bill Dowling Announced
Dowling will be honored with a hero's procession to the Houston Baptist University Cultural Arts Center on Wednesday morning.

HOUSTON, TX -- Funeral services for Houston Fire Department Captain William “Iron Bill” Dowling will be held at the Houston Baptist University Morris Cultural Arts Center on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Dowling, 43, who was severely injured during a catastrophic fire at the Southwest Inn on May 31, 2013, died from those injuries on March 7 in Durango, Colorado.
Dowling’s body was transported to from Colorado last weekend, and flown to Houston’s Hobby Airport where the Dowling family was met by an honor guard who escorted Dowling’s body to the Klein Funeral Home in Tomball.

A similar procession will honor Dowling, starting at 8:45 a.m., on the Southwest Freeway at Belin Road, and carry him to the university, for the memorial service.
