Houston PD: Investigation Into Fatal Crash At 6800 Gessner Road

May 5, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6800 Gessner Road about 4:25 p.m. on Monday (May 4).

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer O. Sulaiman reported:

The victim was operating a white Suzuki GSX motorcycle southbound at the above address when he possibly ran the red light at the Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road intersection and then struck the trailer of an 18-wheeler traveling eastbound on the service road.

The investigation is continuing.
